i tried the one in the newspaper the other day and just about solved it.
but thought i should start small and work my way up to get a better understanding of how it's played.. so i picked up a sudoku mag at target the other day.
it's an easy one and i'm really getting the hang of it and enjoying it.

Sirona, if you like pumpkin pie, you would possibly/likely like sweet potato pie.
watching the democratic debates i was struck how every candidate, save dennis kucinich, pledged to prevent iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.
iran is a sovereign state, diplomacy which ends in 'you can't have this, but we can' will not work.
what would happen if another country told us we couldn't have nukes?
Why are telling Iran they can't have nukes...
Question:
Why does it matter if they have nukes?
I mean, I realize this sounds probably not near as edumacated as the rest of the posts....
But this is the way I see it...
If Iran even Thinks of Nuking ANYONE they will be blown off the effing map.
Now, on the other hand....lets say Someone attacks them. They're relatively small compared to most other countries. Defense wise, I wonder how able they are to defend themselves against uhmmmm Someone like I dunno, the er US, just thinking off the top of my head.
So let's say the US just one day says "hey let's attack Iran, why not we just happen to be in the area? We'll make a call."
Perhaps having nukes would make them a little more secure.
So perhaps the reason the US govt is telling them they can't have nukes is because if they don't have nukes it makes it a hell of a lot easier to go in.
On the other hand.......after having this Iranian leader in MI not long ago, I have to say...that man is scary. And the reality is, crazy people and wmd don't generally go together like peanut butter and preserves. And while it does come across as extremely hypocritical, self preservation is a big part of survival.
So do we have the right to tell them?
I'm really beginning to wonder about this term "the right to...".....
thank yall for your help.. arrowstar, kudos, more than you know.
leonarkpete the bible is alive now.
valisfmz hippies are normal to me now.
Uh whas up?
kids have been knocking about an hour now.
they all look soooo cute in their little costumes.
this is my 2nd halloween and it is great so far.
Just got back about 15 minutes ago with the two girls. They made out like bandits. We covered about 3 streets and went a little further down to see my friend and her family.
They got a bowl full of candy and another bowl full of bags of chips.
One bag of chips had a tract from a local church stapled to it. It was tasteful, it didn't bash halloween, just told the kids to ask jesus into their hearts. And hey, at least they gave out candy
Blessed Samhain and Happy Halloween to you and DB as well.
from the most digusting, filthy food growing conditions of which more and more of our own food is contaminated with to abuse and consumption of exotic animals, especially the endangered.
they are the worlds biggest contributors to the decline of endangered animals and are creating more.
750 large bears were shown in cages with huge metal tubes inserted into their stomachs to suction out bile every day for old chinese medicine recipes.
jeannie: you're right, you are absolutely right. <<shrug>>
eclipse, thank you for the link! and yup, if it were in our faces daily, it might be different. Endangered animals, hurting animals (cosmetic industry as well as the pharmaceutical like R brought up) it's all happening on a daily basis. And what people are more concerned about is the latest trend....and it is so stinking easy to get caught up in it....

People Need to be aware of the reason we get things so cheap in developed countries and how big the consequences are for workers everywhere. It would and should affect our purchasing habits and our political views.
i started this on another thread so a lot of it is in response to nathan's.. there is still free speech, even for christians.
a lot of people would like to take free speech away from christians; that we keep our mouths shut.
as americans, what do you think of the fairness doctrine that henry waxman wants to revive?
In regards to NN's comment on the other thread, from what I can recall it was not inflammatory or insensitive. It was an opinion expressed.
I think perhaps that sometimes our own, myself included, reactions are coming from raw nerves that are touched.
In this case, I didn't perceive his comments re God to be anything other than an opinion. Further, it is intersting that he actually made points that my husband and I had discussed earlier in that day. I was wondering if someone was going to comment about it.
I was less than thrilled with HOW we were told about Linda's non existance. Many of us were believing that Linda was indeed very real and her death was very sad.
Seems that there was a leap from subtle hints to in your face.
I personally didn't really read the thread re Online imposters. And so, had no idea that the mods were trying to "clue us in". I would have no reason to look at the title of that thread and connect the dots to Linda.
Around here, it may take a week or two before a memorial service takes place. So, I didn't find anything odd about the non information about her funeral. So, NN's suggestion that something was amiss was completely news to me.
In all, I am not seeing where NN was in the wrong. I might have chosen to do things differently in his initial post, but he did it, I suppose, in the way he felt was best. And well, ok, I actually think the picture is pretty funny now.
anyhow just my two cents....
as the year slows down towards winter we enter a time reflection and preparation for the coming year, it is, for many pagans (as well as christians) a time for rememberance of those passed over, loved ones who are with us no more.
this fits in well with the belief of many that at this time of year the veil between the spirit world and the physical is at its thinnest and our ancesters/loved ones are closer to us.. for those loved and missed, who would you choose to remember at this time of year and why?.
g /|\.
thanks nvr. I just know that so many people die every year who have no one, absolutely no one, who even notices they are missing. They are often homeless and/or elderly. And they need someone to remember them, somehow....
